I have blood in my feces and every time I do the bathroom it burns! Help? ?

So, I have noticed the blood on my toilet paper every time I do the bathroom, it is bright red. It has happened a few times before but this time I am worried because now the area burns every time I do the bathroom. I am only 18 years old and I mentioned it to my mom but she says it could be all the spicy food I eat and she asked me if I wanted to check it out at the doctor. I'm kinda doubting going to the doctor cause that means he'll have to check that area and I feel embarrassed. I just went to the doctor a week ago cause I had an war and throat infection. So I am currently taking antibiotics and cough medicine. What could it be and what should I do?
