What is it that some people's breath smell feces?

Every now and again I'll run into someone or come across someone and they start talking and all I smell is fecal matter. I know they can't be possibly eating poop because there are so many people that smell like it. Could it be they're into that wierd fetish where they eat someone's poop or what..? Any reasonable answers are desired.
