HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL?

I live in England, but i am moving to america in about 6 months time. I'm 16 years old and I want to play Football at high school as i am good at it. I play for GB lions at HB and have a 11.7 ypc average aswell as 21 touchdowns in 11 games. I also play rugby to a very high standard playing for the equivelent of the state team at u18 level. I was wondering, is life as a high school football player really the same as it is depicted in movies and tv, or is it totally different. By this i mean is there the same glamour and adoration of football players? Also how would i go about getting onto the team?
